WASHINGTON — The Alliance for Youth Action is searching for its next Executive Director. Sarah Audelo, Executive Director of the Alliance for the last four years, announced her upcoming transition later this year: “It is time to make way for the next generation of young leaders. The Alliance is in the strongest place in the history of our organization because of our network of innovative youth organizers, skilled and dedicated staff, and a smart and strategic board of directors. I am confident that we have set the organization up for a thoughtful and successful transition.”

The next Executive Director will lead and manage the organization, work with the board and network leadership, and ensure the Alliance’s continued financial and operational health. The search is being managed by the Alliance transition taskforce made up of staff, board, and network Executive Directors, and administered by Meso Solutions, a search firm.

Board Chair, Alexandra Acker-Lyons said, “The Alliance has had many successes under Sarah Audelo’s leadership including growing the network to expand in more communities, uplifting the network of youth organizers who are registering hundreds of thousands of young voters, moving tens of millions of dollars to support more work in the field and more young organizers, and shifting the narrative on the youth vote and youth organizing. We look forward to working with Alliance stakeholders to select a person with the passion and skills to broaden the Alliance network’s impact on civic engagement and social justice coast to coast.”

If interested in speaking with Sarah Audelo about her reflection on her time serving as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Youth Action please reach out to Carmel at press@allianceforyouthaction.org for more information.
